Three things to know about buying at Rocky Fork Lake
- "Near the lake" covers a lot of ground. True waterfront is rare and priced accordingly. Many homes are a short drive or golf cart ride from a ramp or marina. Ask us which homes have water access and which are simply nearby.
- Check water, septic and road access. Many lake-area homes use private wells and septic systems, and some lots have never been perked. Before you buy a lot to build on, confirm with the Highland County Health Department that it can support a septic system.
- Year-round home, getaway or rental? How you plan to use the property changes your financing. A primary residence may qualify for a USDA loan with no down payment; a second home or rental will not.
